Our Online Service for Sunday 22nd August 2021.
The Twelfth Sunday After Trinity.
Our Theme: "The Shield."

 Hi Folks

The weather has been rather dismal this week, but next week is looking great for a number of outdoor activities.

The last of the Shore to Shore walks is from Penrhyn Bay to Llandudno, starting at 1pm, so do come along for a chat, some litter picking and pauses to pray along the way.  There is usually a prayer van with ice lollies at the end that are always a welcome reward, and do not worry there are several willing drivers to give lifts back to your car or however you have planned to get home again.

Walk, Pray and Clear the Way! This Monday 23rd August from 1pm. Concluding Tomorrow: Shore to Shore. No. 6: from Penrhyn Bay to Llandudno For further details. https://dioceseofstasaph.org.uk/shore-to-shore/

On Thursday there is a new event in celebration of International Dog Day and a get together for a picnic social at Coed Y Morfa .  The Trails & Tails Picnic is being organised by Friend of Christ Church and is a free social opportunity with: a Treasure Trail to follow; some unusual categories in an impromptu Dog Show and a few games to play or watch as we bask in the sun.  Bring a chair, bring a picnic, bring a friend, bring a dog (optional) and let's have a lark in the park.  A free event but donations are encouraged for the Friends of Christ Church.  11am until 2pm next to the football field by the car park at Lon Goed, Prestatyn.

A Special Event from Friends of Christ Church. A Trails & Tails BYO Picnic at Coed Y Morfa, Prestatyn on Thursday 26th August from 11am - 2pm. It’s International Dog Day, so bring along any 4 legged friends (optional) for prizes! There’s a local Street Treasure Trail for those with eagle eyes! BYO folding chair & picnic. Subject to reasonable weather! Meet next to the Car Park in Lon Goed! Bring family & friends to share in the fun! Free event but donations encouraged! All are welcome!

It looks like the weather will stay good for the Bank Holiday Weekend, so do come and support the last Fair Weather Fair for August.  In the grounds of Christ Church there will be more stalls than ever with some great bargains to be had and plenty of fun to go around.  There will be Bric a Brac, Books, Refreshments and the Teddy Tombola has been very popular.  If you're visiting the High Street, then make sure you linger at Church, which shall be open for private prayer and lighting candles during the Fair.  The new time is 10am until 1pm on Saturday 28th August and all monies raised are for the Friends of Christ Church.

The Last Fair Weather Fair so let’s make it the best. Sat 28th August from 10am - 1pm in the grounds of Christ Church and in aid of Friends of Christ Church.

Our Online Sunday Service this week will be the usual mix of music and images, prayers and a talk focusing on the theme: The Shield!  Do take a look if you can't get to church in person (and even if you can, as the themes will be different).  You no longer need to book before attending, although the other precautions from before will be maintained with some variation between churches.  Do come along, it would be great to see you!
