Hi Folks
There is a new online service from Prestatyn Church in Wales to
Celebrate All Saints Day. Do check it out!
This week there will be the Annual Church Meetings via Zoom, so
if you can receive this email, then you should be able to join in that
meeting, and for those not online they can alternatively get connected via
their telephones.
If you've not Zoomed before, then clicking on the appropriate link
below will trigger an invitation to download Zoom, which hundreds of
thousands have found a safe thing to do. Then you will be given the
option to join a meeting ID, which you follow and when prompted put in the
meeting code and password. That brings you into a waiting room which
I shall monitor during the 15 mins before the meeting is due to start and
can then let you into the meeting. Do please allow audio and video
so that everybody else can see you and you them.
For those who join via the telephone, they will tap in the room
code, then they will be asked for a personal code, but the alternative is
to tap the 'hash' button, you then tap in the passcode and will then be in
the waiting room too. You do get prompted through these stages.
To participate, please use the appropriate links here...

AGENDA for Prestatyn CiW ANNUAL MEETINGS
Open in Prayer,
Apologies for Absence,
Annual Reports for 2019,
Finance Report,
Mission Area Business,
Elected Representatives,
Electoral Roll,
Sidespersons,
Close in Prayer.
I hope that both of these meetings can be followed by brief PCC or
MOB Meetings to plan future meetings and consider anything urgent.
Questions to consider:
Service Times - We are at a time when changing the times of
services could be relatively easy, so let us take this opportunity
to review when the optimum time might be. Would other people we
know be more likely to attend if they were at a different time?
Are there times when I definitely couldn’t attend and others that
would be more convenient? We may end up saying that no change is
needed, but would there be any advantages if we did alter them?
Christmas 2020 - It is looking very likely that live
services will be somewhat limited this year, in which case would
you still want a Christmas Eve Communion (just the wafer) whatever
the timing? We will be able to sing carols via zoom, but are there
other things that you would like to try (suggestions include a
Zoom murder mystery event, a Zoom Christmas Quiz and maybe Zoom
Christmas crafting demonstrations).
Priorities for the Future - as part of the Mission Area
Review, each church needs to present their plans for the future,
so what do you think should be included?
Notice is also given for the Annual Mission Area Vestry
Meeting on Tuesday 24th November, also on zoom with access
details to follow.
Next Sunday is Remembrance Sunday, so there will be a short
online All Age Service from 10am and at 10.45am live streamed
coverage of the service from the War memorial including the 11am
silence.
If you are exercising and have a spare poppy then do
visit the Christ Church churchyard and add it to those by the war
memorial making the outline of a cross (between 1st and 11th
November).
I hope that all is well with you.
Keep Safe,
Keep Praying &
Keep Close to Jesus!
God bless you,
Revd David Ash.
