Ladies & Gentlemen... We Desperately Need Your Help!
"After years of makeshift repairs, the boilers for the heating at Christ Church have finally broken and become obsolete, leaving the building often colder inside than out.
Damp issues that are inevitable with an old stone building have caused plaster and paint to have pealed in various places. Updating signs that would direct and inform visitors would also help us.
We would so love to improve all of these and offer a warm and welcoming building for all to enjoy on those school, civic and family occasions as well as concerts, plays and the usual church services.
We estimate that £30,000 will be needed to realistically tackle these things and the congregation have wonderfully donated £5,000 (on top of their regular giving towards the ongoing costs of ministry, insurance, lighting etc - an eye watering £60,000 per annum).
We are now appealing for community support to help bring this building back up to a good standard, so that it might be enjoyed and used more fully once more.

A Little Bit About Us...
Nestled within the beautiful North Wales coast, you'll find Prestatyn. A busy
part of the
Church in Wales, within the
Diocese of St Asaph. Prestatyn is our little spot of beauty and history. It's well worth
a visit. Our congregations meet at
Christ Church halfway up Prestatyn High Street and the smaller, more intimate,
Church of the Holy Spirit
on Victoria Road, Prestatyn. You can't miss us.
Church is without doubt more about people than buildings, and there are various activities happening with both
Christ Church
and
Church of the Holy Spirit. You'll find details of what we're up to in our weekly "Pew Sheets" found at our services,

pages. We also have an

for special services and other events.
Christ Church
is open daily from around 10am until 4pm and many people call in
to enjoy the quiet atmosphere where you might be lucky to hear the odd
organist rehearsal, etc, to light a candle and to say a prayer. We
seek to be a welcoming community for people of all faiths and none.
Worship in our churches is centred upon the weekly Celebration of the
Holy Communion.. Are you thinking of coming to one of our services? Why not? We welcome
you with open arms, come and get to know us, our community, stay for a
cup of something hot and a biscuit or several, chat... You never know,
you may find yourself coming back to us more and more. Join in with our
services and hymns and get to know Jesus each day.
